DEVELOPER (Python/Ruby/C/C++) – great opportunity to gain GOOGLE GO (GOLANG programming) experience, and to WORK REMOTELY/WORK FROM HOME.

To be considered you must be based in CAPE TOWN as intermediate working from the company’s office will be required.

This Platform DEVELOPER role offers a salary of R720K – R840K/annum.

This rapidly growing company (operating in both South Africa and Australia) focuses on innovative solutions for Juniper ecosystems – they are a registered Juniper Technology Partner. Their cloud-based network management platform provides a secure and simple way for Enterprises to manage environments. Their intuitive interface allows engineers with little or no Juniper skills the ability to configure and manage Juniper environments.

This role will be ideal for you if you are an experienced DEVELOPER with Python/Ruby/C/C++ programming skills and you are keen to learn Google Go (Golang). Training will be provided.

This requires an experienced Developer to join a team responsible for the continuous development and improvement of the company’s products and services. You must be motivated to share knowledge and work closely as part of a dynamic, technical team. You will be challenged with building a foundation for future products/services and implementing solutions in the present. You will work with the newest Juniper and Google Go technologies and MUST have the autonomy to create work without being micromanaged. Da—to-day you will lead development of new features for the future of the Platform, including APIs and services.

BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
5+ years development experience with any of Go, Ruby, Python, PHP, C or C++.
Nice to have:
Proficient with web technologies and databases (NoSQL and RDBMS) and RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and/or micro-services architecture (MSA).
Good understanding of Linux and how to best harness it for performance.
Some networking experience (network programming, network security, protocols, etc.).
