Based in CAPE TOWN this JUNIOR LINUX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR role offers a salary of R17K – R20K/month.

As JUNIOR LINUX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR you will be involved in the following:
Systems & Server Support; Managing & maintaining backups; Managing user access & permissions to both servers & systems; Provisioning of new server environments; Supporting various software environments; Desktop User Support; Ah-hoc desktop user support; Printer support; User Setup & Hardware Provisioning; Provisioning new user hardware; Creating and configuring new users; Installing and configuring required user software; User Management; Maintaining users & permissions, in accordance with a defined joiner mover leaver process.
1-2 years of experience.
Experience with Ubuntu Server or similar Linux shell/command environments.
Experience with networking & network device management.
Proficient with hardware setup & upgrades.
Keen interest in emerging technology
Technology skills required:
Windows & Linux
Samba network file-share
VirtualBox CLI (no-gui)
Apache & Nginx
SQL Server (MySQL, Postgres or similar)
Nice to have skills (but not essential):
Experience with Docker
Experience with Ansible, Puppet or Chef scripting
Experience with VoiP
Experience with Network Print Servers
Experience with Git
